How RealitySift works.
What is RealitySift?
A public evidence-audit product. It turns source claims into a traceable record of evidence, counterevidence, uncertainty, tests and corrections.
Is DeepSeek actually used?
Yes. The interactive auditor is configured to use DeepSeek V3.2. The model is a tool in the process; it is not treated as an authority.
Do you trust official Chinese sources?
Neither automatically nor categorically. An official document is strong evidence for what an institution formally said or published, but empirical claims still require the evidence appropriate to that claim.
Why KEEP / QUALIFY / RETRACT / UNVERIFIED?
Because a binary true/false label often destroys the most important information: scope, denominator, timing, causal strength and what is still unknown.
Does the system publish everything it finds automatically?
No. Continuous monitoring can collect and draft candidate audits. External political and geopolitical publication remains human-approved.
Where is the Russia product?
It is not publicly exposed until it has a reader-facing sourced audit feed. Internal calibration prompts, probes and engineering receipts are not part of the public product.
